At Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This is made up of 7 areas of learning. Communication and Language, PSED (Personal, Social and Emotional Development), Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

The activities we strive to achieve each week, are centered around our new 'Story of the Week'. The children's learning journey can be followed on Early Essence where you will be able to see and contribute to what they have been doing throughout their weeks in nursery.

Details about the learning experiences the nursery children will be exposed to, can be found on the termly curriculum newsletters.

You will also find useful information on how to help your child with their learning on the 'Support your Child' page of the website.

Sacred Heart School Prayer

I place all my trust in you

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

I place all my trust in you

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

I place all my trust in you

Amen

Every year we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Our school is the Sacred Heart School so this feast is particularly special for all of us.

Jesus loves us so much that his heart is on fire with love and forgiveness.

During our daily collective worship, we recite our special Sacred Heart prayer:

Learning Opportunities

`Get Talking ` advice for parents

A useful document produced by the Hillingdon Speech and Language Service to support schools and families. It has lots of ideas suggesting how to improve your child's speaking and listening skills.

This Profile shows the progress Nursery and Reception children should make during the Foundation Stage at school. By the end of Reception each child should be achieving the ELG's (Early Learning Goals).
