Welcome

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School > About Us > Welcome

We are very pleased to welcome you to Sacred Heart Primary School. This is a school and community that we are very proud to lead.

With our pupils, staff and governors we work to maintain the highest standards, allowing everyone to flourish spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally.

Our mission statement, ‘To love and learn with Jesus’ pervades all that we do. A pupil has even suggested that it is not just a mission statement, ‘it is a way of life’.

We aim to nurture and develop our pupils so that they have the knowledge and skills that will equip them for the next stage of their educational career and become responsible adults of the future, ready to take on new challenges and be ambassadors for good in our world.

We believe that the strength of partnership with parents is fundamental to achieving all of this and we work hard to get to know our families and to include them in our school and support them beyond the building itself. We often refer to the ‘family of Sacred Heart’ and children and families know that, even when they leave, they will always remain part of us.

We recognise the important decision you are making in choosing the right school for your child and therefore we very much welcome visits to our school so that you can see these words being lived out in our school community on a daily basis.
